#What degree modules and type do employers care about?

I'm in my third year of computer science at university now, and I'm trying to decide between a Specialization or just a Major in CS. The difference is that spec has more and harder difficulty courses compared to a major. At the end of the day, both will land me a BSc in CS, so I was wondering if employers care at all?

Additionally, would employers care if I took 5 years instead of the standard 4 to complete my degree, if I tell them that I switched programs completely (transferred from political science -> computer science)? Thanks.

harder courses can expand your knowledge though if you care about that

also, do you think its worth it to take an 8-12 month internship or do a 4 month one and graduate earlier? @fair quiver @grim verge

a lot of things can vary, so definitely talk to your friends, since they know your situation better, go over options with them

yeah okay,, i will do that

i dont think that jobs prefer students that graduated early, but treat them equally to students who did it normally in 4yr

im trying to weigh all my options, i think im going to take the light CS course load at school, and probably begin looking for internships

depends on the company for the internship but a lot of companies don't count internships as years of experience. If you don't plan to work there after graduating you're probably better off doing the short internship then graduating and starting a full time role
