Hello everyone,
I am from the USA. Graduated with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering 2024. It has been one year and I still haven't found a job, neither an EE or CS job. I am interested more in being an SWE or Data Scientist. So yes, I should've majored in CS back in undergrad but I was already in my senior year and it was too late. Should I continue to code, make projects, network, apply, leetcode, etc... Or just straight up go for a Master's in CS and redo the job hunting with internships. I already took the GRE and have a good score and I can get into my local state university Master's program. Given this current job market. I do not know what to do.

If you want to be become a SWE, i think you should find careers that are adjacent to EE. Consider looking into CE or RF engineer, they can become programming heavy
This was my story back in 2018. Graduated with an EE, had an internship as an EE, then got my first job as a SWE.
If you have relevant coursework and skills on your resume, it should not be an issue. Unfortunately the market is not great right now. I would say looking at industries that work on hardware is an easier time (computer processors, robotics, auto, defense, aerospace, embedded, medtech) but if you want to be a webdev nothing is stopping you.
Lots of new grads are considering masters to hopefully wait until the job market turns around, I’d say it’s better than being unemployed for a significant period of time. Plus, lots of companies look for Masters as a preferred qualification.
Once you get a job as a SWE, they care less about your degree and moreso that you just have one.
did you post your resume on resume review?
I have a friend who graduated with EE doing swe at a bank in NYC. Its not rare I would say
