#Would it be a bad idea to call a recruiter if he gave me a number?

I was scheduled to talk with a recruiter on Friday, but because of an issue with my Verizon plan, he was unable to reach me. I didn't even realize that I had that issue with the Verizon plan until he messaged me to tell me that he was unable to reach me. In that same message, he told me the number he was calling with. Maybe he thought my phone was automatically blocking him or something.

I fixed the Verizon issue within a few minutes and asked him if we could chat, but he said we could try to reconnect this week. Today, I've messaged him, but he hasn't responded. Should I try calling that number he left, or would that be a bad look? Should I ping him again tomorrow on LinkedIn?

can you confirm you fixed your phone number issue? If not, fix that.
I'd call him on the number he was calling you from. You have some ground to make up not answering his calls (note: he doesn't care you had issues with Verizon, only that you did not answer the calls) and voice > text

Hey, so just wanted to add an update. After some pinging, I was able to get on a call with him. Phone screen is (tentatively) scheduled for this week.
