I recently graduated with my Masters degree in Computational Media.
Without looking anything up online, you might have no idea what that major is. You may even think its an Arts major (even though my resume says I studied at my university's school of engineering).
My resume currently says "Master of Science in Computational Media" but I was thinking of changing it to "Computational Engineering & Media" or "Computational Science & Media".
For what it's worth, I've taken classes related to generate AI, HCI, social computing, and tech research. My thesis is on generative AI too.
Would it be an issue (background check, etc.) to slightly change my major name this way on my resume? Just to let employers know I have a tech degree and not an arts one.
