Hey guys,

I wanted to reach out and seek some advice. I recently graduated and I'm currently based in the UK. As I've been searching for job opportunities, I've noticed that a majority of the job descriptions heavily emphasize the need for C# skills, rather than my current stack which mainly consists of JS, React.js, MERN Stack, and Java.

I'm currently contemplating whether I should start learning C# to enhance my skillset and make myself more marketable. However, the challenge I face is the lack of experience that many companies seem to require - usually a minimum of 1-2 year of experience in C#.

I would greatly appreciate any insights, suggestions, or recommendations from anyone who has navigated a similar situation. How did you tackle learning a new programming language while simultaneously trying to gain experience in it?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I'm not employed currently (so feel free to ignore my likely uninformed advice). I'd attempt to leverage your current skillset in applicatons whilst learning how to utilise C# as well. Projects are a good way to learn a language better, so perhaps recreating a previous project using the .NET ecosystem might work, or something like that
