Made my first draft for 2024 new grad jobs, would really really appreciate ANY feedback, good or bad!
Its my first time using this template, edited it from jakes resume and really havent gotten any eyes on it. Please also recommend any visual changes if something feels off

Somethings I feel could be improved/lacking/not strong/uncertain -

  1. University and degree under name - is this a good idea? my idea behind this was to (a)fill up the whitespace and (b)since education is at the bottom, have something about my degree evidently visible
  2. 1st experience - Is it too verbose? And does it add inconsistency? Also, should i trim it down in case a recruiter is running over 100s of resumes and decides not to read the details or are they all worth putting on there?
  3. 2nd exp - 2nd bullet, the "(~2%)" does this look odd? 5 hours seems like a lot but the entire thing takes like a week to complete so in the grand scheme of things its a small optimization but still seems cool - dont want to come off as fake
  4. 3rd exp - 2nd line of 2nd bullet (XML stuff) - does this seem very vague? I feel i should integrate it better with the first sentence
  5. 4th exp - the bullet points again feel very mediocre and I feel they dont add as much value, the percentage mentioned looks meaningless - any recommendations? am i just in my head or do others agree with this?
  6. Projects - Do these feel pretty meh? Like nothing out of this world? Should I work on reframing the points to make it sound better? I feel like theres a lot of whitespace too

These ^ are just some things that come to my mind when critically going over it on my own, im of course open to any other suggestions/criticism and would really appreciate it 🙏. My target job roles would probably be something lower level/systems oriented but ill also apply to others (like backend) - ideally aiming for faang/rising startups

can remove the degree under the name, unnecessary

usually folks that are still in school have education as the first section
