You could consider using a solution oriented wording. Instead of saying that you hate your job, you could ask for different type of tasks, telling your manager you are ready for more challenges.

Are other people in your team doing similar data cleaning or are there other type of tasks? How much of the cleaning could be automated?

Are there other teams in the company doing things you would like to do?
