Hello everyone, I just graduated (this past weekend) from a good university with a B.S. in Computer Science. I was not able to find any internships in my time at school (I got rejected to wherever I applied or didn’t pass the online algorithm tests) and I am currently looking for a software engineering position. I feel I have a strong grasp on the theoretical stuff taught in school but feel I am lacking in practical knowledge that would make me an attractive candidate to hire. Now that I graduated I will have a good amount of free time to hone my practical skills and I want to make sure that whatever I study is worth my time and will help me significantly get a job. I don’t know which domain of work I want to work in. Full stack, backend, swe or any related job would be fine to start. What projects, platforms, languages, or tools should I focus on studying so that it will maximize my potential to land a job (or at least hear back from companies and be given the chance to interview)?

Hi
Let me tell your my suggestion.
I think you can work as a freelancer on some job sites first.
There are many remote job positions on the internet.
Best.
FYI, I have been working for several years as a Software engineer.

i think doing full stack projects will get u a nice range of skills
MERN/MEAN is probably fine
add some sort of database
can try hosting a site on one of the many options
Ok, I'll start by learning how to do a MERN app then
