Hello, so I have been working for the past 4 months with a company as a Software Engineer. This is my first job out of college. In two weeks, I am taking a week off for a trip I had planned prior to employment and I had notified as soon as I started, and they were okay with it. I am using half of my yearly PTO, (using 5 of 10). I am planning another trip for december that will be a week as well (using my other 5 days). I do not plan on using my PTO any other occasions. I am a bit nervous to ask for this time off in december even though I will have the days. Is it acceptable to take two one week trips in your first year as a SWE?

Tbh Im probably gonna book the trip anyways just wanna hear some thoughts.
Also, will prolly go in to the office during the weekend before both trips for like 5 hours just to get a bit of extra work done prior.

I feel like a lot of junior engineers have the mindset that the company is being nice to them by giving them a job, remember it's 50/50, they aren't doing you a favor by employing you, they are employing you because you make them money
