I just finished my 2nd interview with a startup yesterday (Wed) afternoon, and got the email asking for my availability for the 3rd this morning. I have a huge day at work tomorrow and probably won't be in the best state for a >2hr technical interview after. Is there anything wrong with providing no availability for Friday and starting with Monday next week? They've been super prompt with all their responses and this is a huge opportunity for me, so I want to make sure I'm giving myself the best chance possible. Am I overthinking, or do companies generally expect to move quickly when interviews are going well?
#2nd interview Wednesday, asked for availability Thursday - weird to give no availability on Friday?

Uh
Just give whatever availability works best for you
Don’t overthink this
Of course moving quicker has its perks
But moving quickly can have its cons as well
Up to you to decide whatcha wanna do
Thanks for the quick reply! I need to brush up on my LC-esque coding for sure, and I'll likely be pretty exhausted tomorrow evening; so it would definitely work better for me to push it out. I just have no idea how the hiring process works and I'm scared to take too long in case they decide to move forward with someone else in the meantime.
always a risk i agree
so yeah just up to you to weigh the pros or cons and knowns and unknowns
If the hiring manager asked for my availability "within the next 2 weeks", that probably means I'm overthinking it if I'm worried about a single Friday, right?
100000%
in my opinion
like i personally wouldnt worry about it
Sorry I just tend to be a ridiculously anxious person and have trouble figuring out whether I'm being ridiculous or not sometimes lol
i just give my actual availability and go from there personally
Thanks for your insight 🙂
like the thing is
you never know whats gonna happen on their end
but i know i can at least be as prepped as possible
Yeah I might as well do what's best for me since I can never predict what's going on with them
and yeah to me, plenty of upsides and downsides to doing it as quick as possible
Thanks for the advice 🙂 really helps
so kinddd of case by case
