Best way to get referrals?

Hi everyone! First time posting here. I was wondering if anyone can give some advice on how to get referrals for certain companies (currently seeking for Spotify)? Is it better to connect and ask to chat and hopefully then they offer a referral? Or is it better to just ask directly? Any advice is appreciated!

if its a recruiter, would just ask directly. Keep the message short and sweet, include position link, and resume

i wouldnt assume anybody is gonna be just randomly offering a referral if ur just asking to chat
