Hey all, I am a recent CS grad in Ontario, Canada. I have been applying for the past month with no interviews or anything. However this evening, I received an email from a company I applied for a few weeks ago saying "We have been reviewing applicants and we have noticed that although your application is on file and selected to be considered, the questionnaire we sent earlier was never completed". They sent me a questionnaire, which will include coding questions. It states that it should take about an hour to do.
The issue is that upon doing a little research on the company, glassdoor and indeed both have poor reviews for this company. Many bad reviews mention being underpaid (under market salary), no benefits, bad management, work being timed (even washroom breaks are paid time), and having little guidance / training. I don't know about the remote situation for the company either, but it is about 1.5 hours away from my home given a work day + traffic.
I would love to have a full time job, but I feel hesitant to even attempt to start the process at this company due to the things I am reading. I was hoping to get some advice / guidance as to what others would do? I understand that this is very early in the process but I thought I would ask in the event this happens in the future as well. I also understand that the market is kinda bad right now.
