#Can someone help me escape from Help Desk hell?

I'm hoping to get into data science or analysis.
ok so u should put more emphasis on data analysis tools and thing
ur bullet points arent good
ur last 2 projects arent good. Can probably replace with projects that more geared to DS/DA
drop:
“facilitate installation…”
“lead point of contact…”
ur bullet points need to be expanded on drastically
especially the ones that mention python and what not
please review this #1008225248098926753 message to upgrade your bullet points
and then post ur updated resume
Is this in the right direction?
4th bullet point most recent job has a typo
“Upheld security standards” that’s fluff
“Developed a data mining tool” what did you make it with? Why? What was the result?
i dont really see what changed. Idk why you added those second level bullets
cus thats not what it says to do in the link i showed u😂
ill do one example for u
ur personal website could say:
- Developed a portfolio website to display projects and accomplishments using HTML, and CSS.”
- Leveraged Flask, Docker, RDB, and AWS to launch and host for external users to view.
each bullet point needs to be im XYZ format
X = what u made/did
Y = how
Z = any metrics if applicable
in the examples i just gave
X = developed portfolio website
Y = using HTML and CSS
Z = not applicable
X = launched and hosted website
Y = using Flask, Docker…
as rapid said, that data mining tool.. you should expand on that
I don't think I should elaborate on the tool. It was a simple tool for the pew pew people with lots of money.
well the bullet point is fairly weak otherwise
and doesnt really say much about anything
u dont even say what u used
even if it doesnt do jack diddly squat, u can still make it sound like it does something important
they had u do it for a reason, u didnt do it for fun and out of the kindness of ur heart
"Developed a data mining tool for clients."
Should become
"Manipulated in-house data mining algorithm to analyze for patterns" ?
How did you do it? What were the results? Why did you do it?
List the technology you used
Curve ball question,
Is it better to have my employment history limited to the most relevant recent positions and relevant projects. Or should I have my old IT history without projects on the resume too?
then where would ur projects go?
They wouldn't due to a one page limit.
Only most relevant positions and projects
A resume isn’t a holistic view of your employment and education history, it’s a one page highlight reel of your achievements
A “why should we hire you”
and only mention the dev work even if it's a helpdesk position
But I thought gaps in employment are bad?
