I don’t really like the idea of first project second project third
I don’t know how anyone else feels about it but an actual name would be better to look at that numbered projects
i think those are just placeholder names
i would hope those arent the name of the actual projects. I was giving benefit of the doubt 🙂
the format itself is a little funky i think
i think u should change toa different format. Checkout some of the ones in the pinned post
Yeah they’re placeholders, sorry lol. Was trying to anonymize it. I removed all the work experience so far.
where can i find the pinned posts? i clicked the pin on the top and its empty. or do you mean on actual reddit?
#973598253620789308 “read me”
some of the projects look like tutorials you followed ngl to you
otherwise the bullets are fine.
Third fourth and fifth project are school projects. Rest are personal, but even for every project the code is my own. With the exception of my spring security configs :/
thats fine. The projects are good and the bullets are good
do u have a new version with different format?
i used the jake's format since it was pretty close to mine. i didnt put the start-finish for university because i technically only went there from may - august. i accelerated after transferring in
also i removed all irrelevant work experience, and changed font size from 10 to 12 to make up for the whitespace lol
go back to the other bulletpoint u had for the “open weathermap api” bullet. The one u have now was a regression in quality
reduce the left margin, why are the bullets starting a quarter into the page
i would argue to add at least one work experience and drop ur weakest project. More projects != better. Showcase some work experience as well so u can show off soft skills.
yeah those margins were terrible. i didnt even really realize it, i guess it was the auto indent.
i also changed the two bulletins on the first project:
• Consumes API requests to filter a user’s search by the type of service needed and or zip code
• Retrieves all posts associated with a user’s account to allow CRUD operations after successful authentication
to the "Consume API requests to Spring Boot developed backend"
should i change it back as well?
i would combine them
well nvm
can keep those two the same and yeah put them back
I would also remove the “1&2” from ur course work and just keep the standard title
there was still room before dropping the weakest project, but i took it out. not sure if i should put it back or not. it was the one with just Java and JavaFX - the inventory management
Still getting a ton of rejections :/
