how big was the mess up? did it cost the company money? customers? this is the 2nd time its happened?
Unless I hear some detail that very much changes what happened, this is majorly unprofessional of your manager.
Well either the founder is going to apologize to you and chew out your manager behind the scenes, or they're going to support that viewpoint and ensure that this is a place no one should work at
Sure, practicalities are what they are - try to do the right thing and don't burn any bridges here. But that is not how to run a successful team, so you should not be feeling bad about it.

gotcha when being given feedback youre poorly performing and on the way out very soon. what is the best response? just show im commited to company and vision? e.g. i was working today ( sunday) as well
