But it's more like a gelatin. Think like an Oreo. The creme keeps the two halves together. The same is true with the macarons I love. The vanilla/fruit/custard/chocolate filling is either more like a creme or a gelatin and bonds the two melt-in-your-mouth halves of the macaron together.

It's a perfect little dessert sandwich. I adore them. But hey. Food is all subjective eh?

A fairly simple recipe: Cook pasta as normal, put in a baking dish mixed with ground meat and tomato sauce, top with a generous amount of cheese, and bake. I usually call it Baked Pasta, and usually by the pasta used (Ziti or Rotini being common)

It's similar to cucumbers! (So cucumber kimchi lol) We recently got a bunch of watermelons and didn't want to waste the rind. It also has a really nice taste since we added watermelon juice to the marinade. 😋

Fun weekend thing I did. My partner’s family lives up in wonderful northern nowhereland and has lots of maple trees on the property. As a result, once a year they do a sap boil, and I got to go do one this weekend!

It takes 40L of sap to make 1L of syrup and we got about 5.25L once it was all boiled down. And I got to keep a jar :)

Storebought can be very similar/essentially the same if you buy real stuff. I don’t know how it compares worldwide as the real stuff is pretty available here (albeit expensive) and doesn’t have to be stored and shipped for long periods of time.

You first cook eggs as usual, get rid of the shell, and then just put them in a container with your desired stuff in it (in my case soy sauce, water and some other goodies) and then put that container in the fridge, preferably overnight

@stray mantle Every Tuesday for the past 3 weeks I've been visiting the local food hub and recused food from being wasted. (Like bananas, tortilla wraps, eggs, bread, bread rolls, plums, potatoes and baguettes) I just got inspired to cook again. 🤩

I did a rice pan and invited a friend for some other asian food along side it.
I made a pizza (with asparagus)
uh well when i was lazy i did chicken nuggets really.
But also Noodles, Tomato Sauce and Chicken nuggets. Unhealthy? yes. Comfort food? totally
