Elite clues 
take considerably more time to gather and solve but yield the highest chance of giving a master clue scroll 
at rate of 26/100 and have a Fortunate component 
rate of 44/100, note that this rate does include re-rolls and tier 4 luck. 
This guide provides a melee and magic method for AFKing Abyssal Beasts for Elite clues . Using Dwarf Weed Incense 
yields an average of ~1.39 Elite clues . A Legendary pet familiar can also pick up sealed clues, though the amount is entirely RNG-based and cannot be reliably predicted.

Location and How to Get there
The best place to find abyssal beasts is in the Wilderness, in level 37. To get there fast use an obelisk and option 4. Since the inventory is full of items to prolong the trip, you can use the Wilderness Lodestone and use the Obelisk nearby.
⬥ Position your cannon 
on the designated yellow tile, as shown below, precisely two squares east and one square south of the black mark. As for your own position stand on the designated red tile, 2 tiles north of the black skeleton.
