You could put a fred on your caboose
I mean we got the EOT lantern
But this one relays air brake info too
Caboose does it too
Although it doesn’t do it well
Just put a spare DE2 on the end of the consist
It does it fine but cabooses we’re kinda meant to you know…..have somebody in there🫤
The pressure needles are wrong
Are they tho?
Did you check?
I’ve haven’t really observed them being wrong
At least compared to the steam locos gauges
The reason i would like a FRED to be implemented would be to have a device that is able to be mounted on the back of train car couplers that is more realistic than just leaving a marker lamp on the back platform.
Caboose
And usually cabeese have red marker lights to show they’re on the end of a train.
The one in DV missing them the EOT lantern would be the next option

My guess is that E.T.W made so many railroad lanterns the tooling would become worn down, leading to that stamping becoming illegible. I’ve noticed tha...
Plus you can hang them off the coupler instead of the back platform
Exactly
I use Knuckle Couplers in DV. i was mainly thinking to use the fred for night shunting, but now that i think of it, yard jobs and locals also use cabooses,
