I would also like to make this a suggestion for the developers. But I think a cool upgrade to offer to players that would combine the world map and station map into one device, that would also display the current position of mainline and station switch, that would also enable the player to remotely set the position of switches ahead of time to make for more efficient deliveries.

Also, this device could display whether or not a track inside a yard is currently occupied.
