It is my turn to present my ancestry for the Jam of the Timescape 2!
They are inspired by the aphids, a category of bugs that is known for "telescoping generations": they are capable of asexual reproduction, and give birth to offspring already pregnant with the next generation.
Aphidem give birth to only one offspring at the time, but they share all their memories, experience and skills with them. They usually die in labor, as their lifespan is really short. The offspring is a nearly perfect clone of the parent, up to their mind, to the point they consider they are the same person.
In game, this translates to traits that give you good bonuses that are temporary. However, when your traits are used up, you can use your signature trait Rebirth to replace your character with their offspring, losing all your traits to buy new ones.
There are very few Aphidems on Orden, as the species was nearly wiped out centuries ago. Those who survived and managed to keep reproducing until now are scattered around the world, looking for their kind. Most people don't know or believe they are real, and those who do are not taken seriously by their peers.
