my notes for a riojan fanlang, may or may not be complete i'm super inconsistent, this is just to dump my notes

#

oh he pronounces it [rio.xa]/[rio.ha]

#

i was gonna make the j a dz sound, so it'd be [ˈriodza]

speaking of, the first thing that i really wanted to solidify was a dual number case being mostly archaic or lost

#

the high case is for godly beings

#

still deciding on how grammar works

but uhhh, my idea was that riojan doesn't have a copular verb, instead materializing as an affix to the noun, and that nouns act as adjectives

#

so "i am warm" would be pegódio whereas "i might be warm" would be gódío i pehié as subjunctive doesn't conjugate as an affix, requiring you to put the pe- verbal suffix into a locative case (-hi), and conjugate it for subjunctive, it literally means "i might be at warm"

#

i'll see how i feel about this in the morning

#

this might not be interesting enough, it kind of reminds me too much of how some conlangs work, so i'll have to sleep on it

#

i wanted it to look italian or spanish but be grammatically completely different
