#Random, near aimless thinking on Cyberpunk in Draw Steel

Heya folks, playing Cyberpunk 2077 again recently and got to brainstorming. Obviously, Draw Steel is more focused on the fantastical, and you won't usually be seeing a dragon in Cyberpunk. Still, I think that some of the baseline mechanics (really, forced movement) works fantastically in the context of a Cyberpunk world that I have started thinking of what each classes role would be.

So far, I have the following. Worth noting that I'm thinking more in the direction of Cyberpunk Red instead of Shadowrun. Shadowrun is probably easier to port over, but I'm more familiar with 2077 and associated lore.
Censor - Lawman
Conduit - TBA, maybe take it one to one as a priest?
Elementalist - Techie
Fury - Borg'd out Freak
Null - Nullifier (creative, I know)
Shadow - Smooth Operator
Tactician - Fixer
Talent - Netrunner
Troubador - Rockerboy

I'm leaning really heavily on that whole 'any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic' situation to explain some of these, besides just flavor. I also tried to come up with some kind of matchup for each one instead of just removing it (for example, I'd probably dump elementalist and conduit, since they don't map as cleanly to any archetypes I'm aware of in the genre)

It’s very flexible isn’t it. I’ve been dreaming of space wizards and how they would work on this system

Honestly, I think the mechanic that excites me most about the system is the forced movement and terrain destruction. There's so many types of games that benefit from punching a guy through a wall being an option!

After playing it a bit more, with so many abilities working in Range or working in range even though I wouldn't expect it to, I think a conversion of Draw Steel into a setting with guns won't be that difficult.

I had an idea of using Draw Steel for some Shadowrun fun.

How do you imagine matching the system with the commonplace of firearms?

I've seen a few homebrew kits around for guns, but I think the existing kits are already a good start for reflavoring

#

We have the sniper, rapid fire, and ranger kits that can all catch some broad fantasies in game

#

We're probably missing something for a shotgun and a heavy weapon of some kind (a distinction between Rapid Fire as a rifle or uzi and whatever this one would be for a minigun of some kind)

Im in for fleshing out some basic firearms kits

Even I'm just starting to dip my toes in the DS system

A Draw Steel Modern fan made sourcebook could be awesome

I think that'd be really neat, but what would it entail? Would it mainly be adding some elements to work in an urban fantasy scenario?
