*And so it came to be. The rule of Gnargrash the Great Barbarian King was ended by the people's rightful ruler, Allant the Conqueror and his Knights fo the Rose. Marching with him were the proud Elven Lords of Abiette Silvae and the Dwarflords of VysokΓ‘-Hora, a hardy folk of the northern Silverpeaks.
A document was signed, dubbed the Treaty of Amber, binding the three powers to each others aid, should the Amber Pass fall under threat of outsider Invasion ever again. The Rose marched southward and brought balance and peace to the known lands. With the Kingdom united, war and famine became a thing of the past and the people prospered. The Alliance held and residents of all kingdoms became a common sight throughout the lands, many taking human wives and husbands. Trade was good. Pantries Stocked. The peoples, content. And so it went for nearly 300 years.
Today marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Anthon Allant, last of the Allants, and the end of an era. The throne now sits empty and the Kingdom grows shaky as tensions rise. War looms over Akkra once more, and non-humans become fewer and fewer in number. But to make things worse, strange occurrences have been reported recently. Entire caravans disappear without trace, towns empty overnight, and strange Fey creatures, strange even for Akkra roam the wilderness. Some say the stars themselves seem to shift without warning... an omen. A sign.
An era of unrest is upon us.*
π Set in a war-torn land where old alliances are barely remembered and new friends are hard to trust, the players will play as a rag-tag group of survivors attempting to mend the ties of the nation and unravel a plot that would seal its fate.
Explore a dark sandbox world with never before seen eras of history, lore, in-universe books, races, factions and locations. The structure of the world itself seems unstable and something seeps trough the cracks.
Akkra is a low-magic setting with spellcasters being prosecuted by a zealous religious order. Its rulers and leaders are few, untrusting and have a guarded approach to outsiders. Whatβs left of the Kingdom suffers, its borders crumble and outside invasion is only a matter of time.
While there is a main plot laid out, and quite a few ready adventures within Akkra, just begging to be stumbled over and followed, Akkra is also built up from the ground to be a completely Free roam Sandbox where the players can do just about anything they want, and of course, suffer the consequences.
