what i have currently:

@unkempt moss move your number parsing logic (which is duplicated in the code) to a function

then make the function able to parse either a number or a variable

I updated my code, I needed help from chatgpt because im bad at this:

One problem I have now is that equations such as 28/-4 will return 0 instead of -7

Im not sure if its a precedence problem
