Well there certainly are drastic things to come 🤐
I think it's interesting that you read F&B first. I'd be curious to go back and reread the main series knowing all the Targ history that I do, but that's a lot of book to read.
I was gonna read in the normal order but sister-in-law recommended chronological and it has added a lot of knowledge of the houses and their histories
Which is cool, feels quite a depth-y world right from the get go
There is also a combined order for Feast for Crows and Dance of Dragons that I can find if you'd like. They were originally meant to be one book before being split up for length by storyline.
Hmm, unsure on how I feel about that since start of storm of swords takes place in end of clash of kings so a combination there would have made more sense too I think
And also just, reading on an ereader jumping back and forth is a pain lmao
It's the series that got me back into reading as a whole they're just such amazing reads
Always gonna be hoping for Winds to release, I at least believe in that one, Spring yeah I'm not even gonna try but at least with Winds I'd have a whole new batch of theory videos to binge
Hey he did just say he only has 500 pages left to write in winter
I take every scrap of hope I can get
Ayy there's an Ice and Fire channel! I'm currently going through the series for a second time. First time I read them was years ago. Currently a little bit of the way into Clash of Kings.
I really should do that one of these days
Jesus it's been 10 years since I started reading them 🙃
I've been making my way through Storm of Swords
It is an absolutely incredible read
The climax of I don't even know how many plotlines goin into it
It does do a really good job of condensing so many loose strands from clash of kings in very satisfying ways and still making you hungry for more
Though I will take a brief pause before the next
The end reveal of ||Tysha|| will always hit me
Oh yeah same and I really didnt expect ||Tyrion to just shoot Tywin||
I love that for as tragic a moment ||it clearly is for Tyrion there I love how much of a sinister moment it all really feels for him||
||It has a bit of the vibe of him embracing some of the evil and chaotic vibes everyone has been so quick to assign to him||
||Yeah it's like those elements in him were always there in some fashion, he was certainly the most like Tywin because of it||
||But losing Jamie, killing Shae which is no where near displayed as sympathetic as it is in the show||
||He really does become to us what he's always described as||
||I haven't seen the show at all and this is my first time reading, I do wish him and Jaime had hugged it out but, oh well. I'll see how that goes in the next two||
