well, it looks like it was an issue with the update, but now I think I fried both as they don't report at all and can't even put them in reset mode

I thought that only measuring ohms I wouldn't be able to fry them 😦

i mean measuring ohms requires applying a small voltage, but it shouldn't be damaging under normal circumstances

i just measured two of my multimeters, one applied 200mV the other 60mV

nah, looks like I just bended somehow the metal parts touching the battery

I added more glue to all of them and still the one that used to work just works, the other 2 have the regular timeout

but the one I was playing with the multimeter that now it seems stuck in detected motion 🤦
