also without the addons installed in addons section HA doesnt know when a addon needs updating
and i do not know how to find my other repositories i had installed... anyway to find out what i had installed.. and registeries
This sounds like an installation problem. Such as docker with an improperly mapped location.
how does that happen? and how does it break HA from a docker install..and is there a backup location that restores it.. as it is frustrating and soooo many people have the same problem i have where you loose all addons its frustrating
and there is no way to protect it
Follow the instructions for the install to make sure you did it right. I don't have this problem and never have even with weird setups.
well there is no instructions.. you just click install in Addons or you click download install in HACS so there is no other instructions
The Docker instructions definitely do exist, if you don't map a volume and therefore lose data, that's on you.

If your config folder isn't mapped, that would be why
But if you're losing addons, you really need to visit #installation-archived and provide information such as how did you install HA, what addons are going missing, and what happens to cause that
ah kk ill try there.. and i have never done anything like that.. like i said you click the HACS .. you search for your add on.. click install boom done.. and all community apps are gone.. and so is the registeries.. you gotta re add it... many people have the issue buti ll try thanks
and to install any addon you click the 3 dots add the website address and your done... i dont do any command line
HACS doesn't have addons, just integrations
i ment in general.. like hacs you just click Install and bobs your uncle.. same with Addons click install and your done.. i never install anything via command line.. just copy and paste web address in addons add.. but hopefully a solution gets solved.. as lots of people have same issue as me no resolution i seen others asked in home assistant forums... people dont even touch the addons page and they loose the addons from the addons store.. so something erases the links to the addon store from something else.. sometimes i have done a HA upgrade core and its lost the addon store.. so who knows what causes it
Either you are losing addons or you are losing integrations, they are completely different
One is like your furniture, another is the shed in your garden.
i loose all the addons all in 1 shot.. just exactly how all the other people loose it.. its there 1 minute.. then say 20 addons are gone instantly.. there was a request to have it fixed.. but the people complained no one fixing the issue... i dunno wish i had a log or an event when HA erases all the addons on the Addon Store to alert you the reason it removed them all.. for now i need to copy the webaddress's and put it in a text file so i can copy and paste them.. i keep forgetting the extra addons i added and the registeries
Is it an addon or is it an integration? If it's something you install through HACS it is not an addon, it is an integration. Either way, your #installation-archived is screwed
i didnt say that
ur putting words in my mouth
i said Addons
i stated its like hacs... you click install..
you only do "terminal" docker ..... command line to install your addons from your link
i said several times i do not use "DOCKER" command line
i install Addons exactly like you do HACKS
click the Install button and ur done.. you cant screw up the install cuz u click INSTALL
Hacs != addons.
Either you have no idea what you're talking about or you're being obtuse.
Think of it this way: an integration is your feet. You can walk and run. Everyone can do that. Addons are spaceships. They need a totally different infrastructure.
I've told you multiple times you need to detail your setup in #installation-archived and ask for help and tell them using the right words what your problem is and what you've tried.
But if you persist in using the wrong words you may as well go yell at the moon. People can't help you if you don't help yourself.
