choose isn't a work around, it's designed exactly for when you want to only do some actions some of the time

I wasn't aware that a sequence of actions could be passed into an automation outside of a blueprint. Completely aware this isn't the ideal workaround. I'm asking what is the ideal pattern to combine a sequence of actions to an additional action or actions.
