multiple times a day (note not night...) we see Tradfri losing connection, throwing several DTLS errors. (Native Tradfri app is functioning alright, so Bridge is alive) Restarting the integration is needed

there are more than a few open. issues, which all seem related, but because they are not centralized, I guess we dont see the main issue..

I was hoping to get some assistance in finishing the work of Jan, who left the integration, and see if I can make this go forward, my thought was to start with the connectivity issue, and learn how to catch that

simple question while a dev reviews - can you make sure the times match between the two systems? have you posted this in #integrations-archived for troubleshooting? (i'm just now going through the issues you listed)

Can you somehow manage to reliably reproduce it? That is more often than not the key to fix such a problem.
Also are you familiar with the underlying library that manages the connection?

the thing is it is not always immediately clear this happens (not watching the Tradfri devices constantly.) I woudn't know how to check if the 'times match'? please explain what you mean? As a matter of fact, it hangs currently, and the system_log_event hans even been raised... so but if a mystery. @feral citrus which library is that?

I mention time because that can break tls. Looking through the issues that doesn't seem like there issue. It send more like the http errors are resulting in the tls being torn down

testing:https://github.com/janiversen/custom_components/tree/tradfri which was done because of https://github.com/home-assistant/core/pull/60023. still needs reloads though..

fwiw i just read through those PR threads. the PRs weren't "rejected", just asked for some additional changes

sure. main worry though is that code-owner has pulled out because of that, so no one is 'owning' while in unstable situation

seems there's a lot of movement currently in the tradfri library, let's await the outcome of those improvements https://github.com/home-assistant-libs/pytradfri/pull/388#discussion_r753839014
