I don't see any data on the Energy Usage graph on the Energy page though, how long should it take to show up?

It can probably take an hour or so, if you look at the sensor entity graph, does it have data (increasing line)?

It's showing a steady 0 since I added it yesterday

aha, so it doesn't seem to be working then, that sensor, that needs to be fixed before you can use it in the energy dashboard

Hmm, just reloaded it and it's showing nothing from daily_from_grid but a stair case graph for daily_usage

and my energy page still shows nothing but was set up with daily_from_grid

staircase sounds like it might be right, does it say kWh for unit?

I edited .storage/energy to reference sensor.daily_usage and it looks like it changed the label on the graph on the energy page but still not seeing any actual data on that one

does that sensor show up in the energy conifguration UI, to select as a data source? If not then perhaps it don't meet the requirements

just went to the config page for it and selected the daily_usage sensor and it seems to be working now! thanks for being a rubber_duck 😉
