There is some PoE stuff.
Can check out this video for some ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBU4yU9eD2U
In today's video we'll be taking a look at the Android tablets I'll be using to display Home Assistant dashboards around the house. They even support Power over Ethernet and include relays and LEDs that can be controlled from Home Assistant over MQTT.

Exact models shown...
thanks for the video, do you know if there are any budget alternatives?
Not that I am familiar with. You can have a look around on AE and see if there is anything similar at a lower price point though.
Hi, I use a cheap Android tablet with the Fully Kiosk software. Just 75€ in Amazon Spain
Would you be able to provide a link?
It's not the same model, because it's not available, but a similar one.

thanks
if using a normal tablet i would spent a few bucks to get a smart plug, that way you can automate the charging based on battery % (plug/loading on if battery >15% and off if battery <85%) This will be better for the battery in long terms.
Yes, I have mine charging in that way 😉
My Lenovo kitchen tablet has the option to do this in the settings so I don't need a smart plug for it. Its called "battery protection mode" or something deep in the android battery settings. I don't think all devices can do it. So I assume its some kind of hardware and software combined thing. But worth looking at.
Running Lenovo too, will look into that option, never seen it before.
In my case, is an atribute of the tablet that appears in HA, so I can use it as any other option for an automation
The Fully Kiosk integration gives you tons of atributes for the tablet
Hey, im looking into getting a lenovo p11 with the charging dock, have you heard of the google assistant ambient mode, and do you use the lenovo tablet to display pictures? Im looking to place one in my kitchen, thanks!
No idea, tbh The tablet i used is older and just runs Fully Kiosk. It has been there for ages and it was a used one from ebay when i got it anyway.
I’ve seen Lenovo tablets that are batteryless before . Wondering if you know anything about them?
Nope, tbh I don't rally know that much about tablets. I don't really use them.
What do you use then?
For what?
Your home assistant
I mostly just interact with it on my desktop if I need to access it directly. I have some buttons about the place but most stuff is just automated and doesnt really require interaction.
I do have a tablet in the kitchen that has some info but its not something i touch that much.
there's a couple of 4.3" displays that can be turned into a HA hub with esphome - but not show normal dashboards
