#Are there any high quality voices?

Sounds like you're interested in local TTS, but I'll bring up that NC Cloud uses Azure in the backend and it sounds great
I wasn't able to find any local voice options that sounds anywhere near as good when I looked a year or two ago
yea I'm really wanting local. if I absolutely can't find anything that works I'll then try a cloud based solution
Did you look at StyleTTS2?
GlaDOS high works super well with Piper, it's like you're in the game (I was gonna say minus the cake but, well, you know). I've also found a place online that has APKs of the GlaDOS voice available (and many more) for Android TTS (in different qualities — in my experience the medium sized models are adequate, high quality models too slow for e.g. navigation).
Tomorrow I will try TARS. I found a thread in the HA forums that collected all the cool ONNX voices compatible with Piper. TARS and the other voices from Interstellar are there.
For the voices available online you need Piper running somewhere with the Wyoming protocol and hooked up to Home Assistant.
