I just had my line upgraded from 1Gbit symmetrical fiber to 2.GBit and of course the IP changed. I used DuckDNS for the dynamic DNS and the client is my Synology NAS. As soon as the IP changed, the DDNS connection to DuckDNS started failing. I thought it was supposed to update automatically as that's the point. Any issue elimination suggestions to figure out why it won't update. I've manually updated the IP in DuckDNS for now, but that is taking forever to propagate.
