I had a SkyConnect which I was using for Zigbee which I replaced with a ZBT2 and reconfigured the SkyConnect to be a Matter boarder router, using the conversion process within HA. Today I decided to purchase some IKEA matter devices to see how they worked but have not been able to get them paired into HA. Seeing that I was getting the same failures from two devices I started to look into the state of Matter & THread on my HA. Looking in the Thread settings it is reporting that there are no border routers found in my preferred etwork. Looking at Devices there is one device for Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 using firmware of OpenThread RCP 2.7.2.0 which it is reporting as up to date. Looking further, the Open Thread Border Router is reporting Failed setup, will retry. Unable to connect.
Can anyone please provide some insight into what is causing my problem and how to overcome it.
