New to automation but a little experience in general networking

scenario:
HA on pi5 in the living room and i want the lights in my office to turn on when i open the door.
i install a zigbee2mqtt coordinator and plug it into the HA on pi5 in the living room
between the living room and the office I plugin a zigbee repeater/router
i install a zigbee light switch in the office walls and an aqara door sensor
aqara door sensor detects door opening and turns on the lights via zigbee light switch

is this how it is understood?

Basically, yes. Although you may not need a separate router in the office depending on how far it is from the coordinator, what coordinator it is, and how it's connected to the Pi5

Im router a mesh network with multiple nodes through the place with the main router/node next to the pi 5, and im not sure what to get for the coordinator

Quick google search, maybe the usb a style dongle with antenna?

Would love suggestions for the coordinator tbh

Obviously the ZBT-2 is a good recommendation...
The USB cable it comes with is great for keeping the antenna away from the electronics
