Voice PE hardware issue after external amp testing.

Used 19V PSU feeding mini amp directly and Voice PE through buck converter to 5V. Shared ground. Tested several small external amps via 3.5mm output.

After some time, audio became permanently distorted. Now both 3.5mm jack and internal speaker output are affected. Device otherwise works normally (LED ring, mic, Assist).

Since both outputs fail, I suspect shared codec path / TI AIC3204 damage. Has anyone seen this failure mode or know if both outputs are sourced through the codec?

Any chance/worth effort to bring it back to life by trying to replacing the TI DAC or any other suggestions?

Attached is a video with a audio sample (voice output).

No worries, It may not be of any help but I had issues with distorted outputs due to ground loop on on one of my VPE setups. I added a Isolation transformer to prevent it. It is a bit of a different setup but but I have some notes on the setup I use one on HERE but perhaps it gives you some ideas.
