Hello, i bought a zbt-2 but nomather what i did i can not make it work 🙁 how can i understand what am i doing wrong?

What have you tried so far
Plugging it into a homeassistant os system should have it show up right away / latest after a restart. After it's just following the installation guide steps
If it does not show up in the first place at all ever, try using a different USB C cable

okey what i did was
its connected to home asistand and it showed right away as you said
but i mistakely select wrong option and then reset it (atleast thats what i hoped not sure if i manage)
so its seen atr hardware atm but at zigbee 2 mqtt i can not pass the configration screen, i tryed from bunch of videos and chatgbt non worked sadly

cant remember tbh 🙁 i tryed like 2 month ago and give up..
also i have to say i have another zigbee hub in home assitant that im scared to plug off becasue of failing in this

It can only zha or z2m at once not both
Make sure it's not actually claimed by zha as active coordinator. If it is, you may need to first migrate that back to the old one and then you should be able to use it in z2m

The other option during setup was to migrate the zha coordinator to the zbt2
You can unplug the "old" one as the zbt2 is running the network
You also might want to disable debug logging as that's generally not needed to be always on
If I recall there is a guide on how to move that entire zha thing to z2m but it's pretty much not required

my goal was to not use any any hub and use zbt for everything

it work perfectly fine but every time it work it give an error like this, any idea why?

those aren't errors, but it does look like there's a UI issue with the events being displayed incorrectly.

and all the videos i watched from many years ago, does z2m still better than zha?

yes but not that much with your setup. z2m can use network attached coordinators and run independently of your homeassistant system. with the coordinator being local and it running on the same instance, the differences are fairly minor

atm there is 5-6 item but it will be 30+ when i finish migrating..

unless you have a specific device where the handler for that device in z2m is more complete than the zha quirk (for example, z2m provides additional features which you want to use), it's probably not worth the effort of migrating.
