Hey I run FoundryVTT for my DnD games and previously created an API call to create a json to read when my players have logged into the server and used that on my homepage. I would prefer to have pips on my home assistant dashboard and wonder how I could do that best?

Oh really? Like an integration for any random REST API? I just point it at the IP and ensure I'm making it check the right thing? I assume I can then customise the response using a template and then make a pip/card based on that?
