Hi, is this that what you're looking for? It's standard within the editor mode of a dashboard.

Yeah inside the tab Home i want a button for each family member to bring up their own panel. How do i make it so?

A quick note on terms:
A Dashboard is the top-level screen that is comprised of Views.
A View is a tab inside the dashboard. These are (generally) shown in the header of the Dashboard.
A Subview is similar to a View except it does not appear in the header, does not show a header when viewed, and has a back button to return to the original View.
A Panel View shows only one card but at the screen's full width.
To create a View or Subview, edit the dashboard (pencil icon in the upper right), click the Plus icon, and set your options. (Toggle Subview if that's what you're looking for.)

#

To create a new Dashboard, go to Settings > Dashboards > Add dashboard > New dashboard from scratch. Set your options and click Save.

#

Edit the original dashboard, and set the button's tap behavior to Navigate. For the Navigation path, choose the path that you just created.

#

You can set each family member's device to a specific dashboard so they don't have to click the button first. The downside about each family member having their own dashboard is having to add anything common between the dashboards.

You could consider setting some visibility options for stuff shown in the Views. Perhaps the kids can't see/interact with devices in the parent's bedroom so that section would be hidden. Mom and Dad could see the kid's room and thus be able to turn their lights off when they need to go to sleep, for example.

This idea was for the wall panel. Like the image from Chris shows, A view (if im correct?) Those at the top navigation bar. Home, Outdoor, Indoor, Media
When home is selected/visible at the screen you see time, weather what i wanted to add to it is a card with an emoji of our face which can be clicked on to see their location, battery %, if Spotify is on what song is playing and maybe something else if we can think of it.

What you said for the kids can't see parents room/light switch etc is a good idea for the mobile app/dashboard which will be different from the wall panel.

Sorry for the confusion of not mentioning a wall panel or mobile device. Hope i gave enough info for what I want to create. If not id be happy to provide with my best knowledge. Also thanks for the help so far and note of terms.

It's all the same in terms of dashboard design whether its for a phone, tablet, wall-mounted/table-top display, or computer. Ultimately, it comes down to how and what you want to see.

This would probably be a good use for the Subview. This way, you can see the stuff for that individual when the button is clicked but not necessarily clutter the navigation bar with extra stuff.

Dashboard design it totally subjective. What you like may not necessarily be the same thing that I like. Will the subview method work? Certainly. Would I use it? Nope. Going down the rabbit hole of dashboard design, there's more that can be learned and other methods of doing things. You mentioned seeing location, battery%, etc when the button is clicked. Well, you could make a card that shows that information. And still have other options for clicking the card. But, this is slowly getting into more intermediate skills for the design.
I'd suggest watching two videos by @undone heron: Home Assistant Dashboards for Beginners in 2025 (+ custom cards) and Building the ULTIMATE PERSON CARD for Home Assistant!. For the first video, the first two-thirds of the video is good information with the remainder of the video getting into slightly more advanced stuff. The second video would make for a good project to work on next.
