#Is it normal for eLight smart bulbs (wifi rgb tuya) to go bad in less than 1 month?

I've bought 5 eLight rgb smart bulbs (operates with 2.4ghz wifi via tuya app) in the local construction store and 2 of them already went bad in less than a month.

The symptoms are identical - when bulb is turned on it lights up and once in like 30 seconds makes a single flash signalling that it has a connection problem. Also the bulb base (where the electronics are) is kinda hot when touching. After resetting it and trying to reconnect - the same symptoms appear.

It costed around 10 euros, so I'm guessing one reason could be the cheap poor quality internal components.

Just wanted to ask your expirience - is it the same with same or similar cheap brands that bulbs tend to go bad that fast?

Not Wi-Fi but I’ve bought maybe 6 random brand cheap ish Zigbee bulbs and 3 have gone bad. Got more than a single month out of them. Symptoms varied. Have given up and gone to known brands, usually Ikea. Often it’s just not worth trying to save a few $(currency).
