#MQTT / Govee MQTT no longer friends?

I just updated the MQTT addon to version 7.0.0, and now none of my Govee lights are working. The Govree MQTT addon seems to be ok, with no errors. But the log for MQTT is constantly spamming with the following
ACL denying access to client with dangerous client id: govee2mqtt/(various long strings of characters)
Unfortuantely I did not do a backup of the MQTT addon; I just have my full backups of HA. Do I need to revert my old backup or is there something I can tweak to get everything happy again?

I am having the same issue. I saw that a fix is coming and planned for v7.0.1, but I have no idea how long that will take.

I was able to turn on my lights via the Govee to MQTT UI. Go to the addons section and then click Govee to MQTT, and then Open UI. You will see a list of devices and the toggle switch worked there.

Yes I can control my Govee lights with the “open web ui” button, but am getting the same error with supposedly the backslash character breaking things. How in the world was this missed on a major release?

I just fixed mine by restoring that app back to the old version by using a backup from yesterday.

Ill be holding off on that upgrade until they fix it!
