Hello,
generap question:
i have HA with a usb connected cheap borderrouter dongle.
I also own a single ikea matter-thread lighbulb

I would like to expand this to more lightbulbs incrementally and some sensors like co2 + window + smart powerplugs

The main big issue i have is the abysmal connection range of my current setup. A single wall is enough to make the lightbulb unreliable and often unreachable.

I live in a 2 story flat with thick ceilings. What is a good approach to ensure a lightbulb 5 rooms over gets good connection? Do lightbulbs repeat signals and therefore expand the mesh? I dont like the idea of buying thread-router-repeaters and placing them in ebery single room.

_So: what to do in order to set up a large matter thread network with many walls between it and good connection reliability. _

Im sorry for asking such a generic googleable question, but so far neither google nor AI was able to give me a good answer and/or real experience from actual humans
