#🧵 Quick question about how you __

@pine remnant made this awesome redesign of the dialog. Seeing it makes me wonder if selecting specific areas is the more common flow, it might make sense to promote area selection directly on the first screen instead of hiding it behind a button.
Would love to hear how you actually use it and what feels natural in practice.
I select all rooms and set them to be cleaned twice, so it gets cleaned checkerboard-like.
If I would just start the vacuum, it would be cleaned once and row-like.
But I don't usually exclude rooms.
Just run it, so 1.
I depends if I'm at home or not :
- If I'm at home, I don't want noise during 1h15min so I prefer to do per area cleaning so it's faster
- If I'm not at home, I don't care so I do full cleaning
I also manually adjust some settings : Fan speed and Water usage but those one are badly integrated and inconsistent : fan speed is an attribute of the vacuum and water usage is a select on the device (but that's another subject and it will be fixed with device type).
Cool thanks! Lets keep the initial design.
I never just hit start. For me, cleaning specific areas (rooms) is default. sometimes I'll just draw a rect, e.g. "tidy up around the dining table"
