both me and my sister recently got bikes and our regular garage door opener hasn't worked for years. this evening i decided to integrate both physical buttons and both motors into my HA. luckily my relays and zigbee door sensors worked flawlessly and everything works as normal. my next step is to figure out when the open the door. my first thought was zone based automations. when me or my sister leave or come home it closes/opens the respective door. sounds fine but there are a few issues with that im sure you guys know of, so no need to explain.

i want to put little rfid stickers on each of our bikes and a scanner in the island by our driveway. (there's conduit ran to it already, yipee!) any products like that or good ways to build my own? or do you have any other suggestions for this setup?

this is more a #1284966353798697001 question - but one thing to bear in mind with something that this is that a standard NFC sticker has a static UUID - so is very easy to clone and could be used to access your garage, not super from a security point of view.

You could also use a zigbee button but I would tend to prefer BLE for stuff that leaves and returns.

To directly answer the question of doing it with RFID. You can look into large scanners that are used on farms to read the implanted chips in animals to see some level of animal movements in/out of barns and stuff.

Another option If you have apple devices you could build a custom "Home Key" Scanner (I think there is a custom component for ESPHome?) then use phone/watch to unlock.
