Hey yall, I’m kinda on a budget , want to get a “cheap” computer to kinda act like a NVR to run home assistant alongside scrypted (to pipe it into Apple home kit secure video but this might be tmi for this post).
Are there any computer devices yall recommend? I don’t mind spending a little above $100 if it’s worth the investment

look around locally, often times you have things like government institutions or companies giving away old-ish computers for close to free. Heck, I've pulled a good amount of perfectly fine computers out of electronics trash containers before
My former university had grate containers for e-waste, and they'll always keep the full containers around for suspiciously long amounts of time (hoping a bit of "free space" will magically generate, I guess)
