I am trying to setup Samsung TV smart to add controls to my dashboard for my living room tv , I have it connected but am having issues with how to configure it to do anything. I'm not seeing any options for changing the channels or app or really anything. If someone who has experience can walk me Tru setting it up that would be great.#unknown

Depends on the TV model what Samsung provides directly - I downloaded via HACS the Universal Remote Card to get the options to change channel etc.
