#how well do samsung smart thing appliances work with HA? (UK)

Don't get a samsung Appliance, regardless of HA 😛
They do great electronics, but every single of my friend that got a samsung kitchen/bathroom appliace got burnt
LG can integrate in HA with this integration https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/lg_thinq/
And LG has a better QA for Appliances, so they should outlast anything Samsung does
I use this with my dryer, it gives you these type of sensors
and those that are disabled as I don't use them. ( Edit: It seems like I use a custom integration for this: https://github.com/ollo69/ha-smartthinq-sensors )
If you are set on remaining with Samsung: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/smartthings/
you have this integration

There is a dedicated discord for that integration too! So it's probably a better place for in depth questions about the integration 😛
at first the ST integration (SmartThings) was a bit flaky with the authentifications, this has been solved a while ago. My Samsung washer is connected and integrated in haos and works fine. (for what it is worth 😉 )
See this here thread. This comes up every now and again. https://discord.com/channels/330944238910963714/1452696471454617874
I don't disparage Smart-things, i disparage the actual appliances 😛
Leaky seals in washers, dead engines in dryers, compressor issues. That type of problems, not integration related, just to be clear :3
