I just set up Home Assistant on my Synology NAS using docker. I was following a tutorial and realized my settings button just isnt there, I want to add addons. Also my device isn't recognizing devices on my network, though there are plenty.

What's the link for the tutorial you used?
Is the screenshot above from your system or something from the tutorial? Settings should be at the bottom where the screenshot shows Configuration (which should be the same thing just outdated).

Tutorials and videos have a tendency of becoming outdated as Home Assistant gets updated over time. Generally, they'll still be useful but the specifics may change.

I watched both videos to see what steps you followed. (It is interesting that the Australian video is exact copy of the first video....) I don't have a Synology NAS so I'm basing my information from what I do know.

I don't think that version of Home Assistant includes the Supervisor which you would need for Add-ons (now known as Apps). A couple of comments on both videos leads me to that assumption. Running HA as a virtual machine instead of the Docker container might resolve this.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps that is something dealing with translation (if English isn't your native language.) I noticed in the videos said Settings. Configuration is in the right spot. What version of HA is running? You should be able to go to Configuration > About to see.
