Hello, I don't know if I'm right here. I use the current beta version of the Matter server. I have integrated all Matter devices into Apple Home and passed them on to Home Assistant.

I see 71 nodes in the list view. However, only 65 nodes are displayed in the mesh view.

In addition, five nodes are displayed as external devices in the mesh view, although I am sure that I forward all Matter devices from Apple Home to Home Assistant.

In addition, an unknown external router is displayed. I assume that this is my AppleTV. But it is also already integrated into Home Assistant. Why is it only displayed as an external router? Another router does not appear in the Mash view.

Since you are using the Matter Beta, I recommend you post to #new-matter-server. Also, AFAIK, the topology should show all 71 devices. As for the "external devices", Apple TBRs are not known by Matter Server even though they are known by HA. What is going on is that Matterjs Server is getting Thread diag data from the Matter devices directly which says things like what Thread nodes it sees as neighbors, etc. which of course includes the Apple TBRs (but again Matter Server otherwise doesn't know about them)

Are 5 of those devices Matter over Wi-Fi devices, and the 65 visible nodes are Matter over Thread devices?

In addition to the the AppleTV, HomePods showing up as external devices in the Thread mesh, many iPhones are Thread enabled and can also show up as an external device in the Matterjs dashboard mesh display from what I have heard.

Thank you very much for the quick answers. I will write the topic on the other channel. And thank you for pointing out the Apple devices that may appear as external devices. And also thank you for the reference to WLAN devices. Matter over WLAN devices seem to appear in the list view, while only Matter over thread devices appear in the mesh view. This explains why the number is different. For example, I have two Shelly Power Strip Gen4 that spark via Wi-Fi and not Thread.
