Greetings, I'm new to home assistant and followed the instructions to get my own home server running in QEMU and everything is working fine, except for my USB mic is not working. I've redirected the USB for my mic to the guest OS and it's detected in "assist microphones" configuration, but nothing is working.

Instead of forwarding the Audio devices to the guest you are probably better off running Linux Voice Assistant on your host OS which then turns the audio devices into a voice sattelite which connects to HA using the ESPHome protocol.

Thanks, I'm going to get my hands on a few pi boards and make some satellites for the HA. The mic was working by the way, if the agent's keyword was properly used (I was saying Hey Nabu, not Okay Nabu) the VA will respond. You aren't able to click the mic icon to seen a voice message to the assist agent directly though.
Just for those who might end up coming across this thread in the future, if you are using QEMU and are passing a mic through and it's not working, remove the USB passhtrough and re-add it. For some reason you need to disconnect/reconnect the mic after the initial boot for the assist microphone to properly pick up the mic.

I had this working, but after rebooting, it's no longer working. My device shows "linux_voice_assistant.api_server:Incorrect preamble: 123" when attempting to add the wyoming protcol (it wasn't showing up after restarting automatically).
